Hiking and outdoor activities

In the vicinity of our house with pool, unforgettable hikes in the mountains are proposed by the Regional Natural Park of Luberon. Natural trails on foot and by bike are not lacking. The most daring ones can try the climbing, especially on the cliffs of Buoux, very spectacular! One of the most beautiful golf courses is located just 10 minutes from our bed and breakfast in Saumane.

Celebrations and events

Land of culture and tradition, the region is rich in entertainment. There are so many of them throughout the year that it is impossible to enumerate them all. Let's remember at Apt, the jazz festival, at Cavaillon the festival of humor, and at Cucuron the tree festival in May. In July and August, it is the abundance of festivals, including the famous Festival de theater in Avignon, 30 minutes from our gust house. Also in July, the world-renowned opera festival takes place in Aix en Provence, 1 hour from Cabrieres d'Avignon. The summer evenings in Gordes where music and music mix, are also essential. The international string quartet festival in Luberon, from mid-June to September in Gordes and Roussillon, remains a privileged moment.

The markets of Provence

The markets of Provence have not stolen their reputation, particularly those of Apt, Gordes or Lacoste, very beautiful village 15 minutes driving from our guest house, or you can admire the ruins of the castle of the Marquis de Sade. Do not miss the peasant market in Coustelet on Sunday morning and L'Isle sur la Sorgue with antique shops. Monday morning, it is in Cavaillon, city of the melon, that it is necessary to go. We will inform you with pleasure on the days of walking around our house in Cabrieres d'Avignon.

Sights and villages of Provence

Provence does not tell itself, it lives in the heart of our villages. From Walls to Sault, start your stroll by tasting "nougat BOYER" then climb Le Ventoux before descending to Vaison La Romaine to discover the Roman remains. Do not miss the Senanque Abbey and the Bories village in Gordes, the Fontaine de Vaucluse, the Palais des Papes in Avignon, as well as Rustrel and its famous Colorado. Among the perch villages of the Luberon, we recommend visiting Oppede, Lacoste, Menerbes and Bonnieux. Finally, the Baux de Provence are worth the detour, from Arles to the Camargue.
