Just a few minutes from our guest house in GordesDiscover the underground side of this village on an exceptional visit to the Cellars of the Palais Saint Firmin.

Listed as a Historic MonumentThis semi-troglodytic site, shaped by man and carved out of the rock, plunges you into the heart of the secret history of Gordes. Archaeological remains, including an ancient olive oil mill, silos and vats, bear witness to the craft activities that kept the village alive from the Middle Ages onwards. A mysterious and enchanting place, a must-see!

Course of the visit
Immersive introductionThe tour begins with a captivating documentary tracing the history and restoration of the site.
3D Experience A 3D video highlights the only craft still operating in the Caves: the oil mill.
Exhibition of historical objects Visit an exhibition of objects unearthed during restoration work, bearing witness to the many uses to which the site has been put over the centuries.
Access to the gardens The gardens overlooking the cellars are open to groups and school groups on request. It is also possible to organise a breakfast or aperitif in these enchanting surroundings.
